Greetings!

We’re writing from the EBM conference in southern Indiana (no, there’s no way you’ve ever heard of the actual place we are). This is just a quick email to say that we’ve had good trips so far and are thankful for our good friends Miguel & Socorro in Ohio and Barbara-Lee’s brother, Rob, and the Hudsons who have hosted us. God is good and it’s special to receive His goodness in the form of deep friendships. We’ve been greatly encouraged here at the conference, re-connecting with the EBM family in a special way. There’s been great fun, challenging sessions, great thinking and thoughtful music. We’ve met up with people we haven’t seen in many years and made new friends. The sessions and leadership and fellow missionaries have helped us evaluate our past ministry and think through our plans for the future. It’s been a truly refreshing time. Read more…

For our first church visit, and for a limited time only, our first prayer card is debuting. No photo-shopping (of the family members; we added the text via Photoshop Elements). This was taken at Barbara-Lee’s brother’s wedding in Philadelphia.

So, here’s our prayer card #1:

We had a great time with Miguel & Socorro, and especially at Kings Island. Here are some of the rides we went on: http://www.visitkingsisland.com/attractions . Drew got to go on the Back Lot coaster and the Racer. Unfortunately there wasn’t time to get on all of these, but we got the best ones: the top two are just incredible. Good fun. It was worth the trip.
Yesterday we went to Answers in Genesis’s Creation Museum in Kentucky (woo-hoo, another state checked off!). It was busy, busy, busy. Lots of people there. It’s a pretty impressive facility. And we bumped into…Debbie Hudson, there with her church’s youth group. A small world.

Here’s our prayer letter for June:

Greetings from Moscow, PA!
We made the 3000 mile trip from Puebla, to Moscow quite safely and mostly enjoyably.  We’re thankful to the Lord for His gracious protection and kindness on our trip. After a week in Texas where we were able to upgrade our vehicle we continued up through some beautiful country before arriving a week later in Moscow, with Barbara-Lee’s parents.  Here we’ve started work on our presentation for churches as well as some R&R and good time with family.  So we’re thankful to be here.  This Thursday we begin our trip to Read more…

Miguel & Socorro

Topic: Family. Posted on June 29th, 2009 by admin — 2 Comments

We just spent 3 days with our great friends, Miguel & Socorro, and their kids, Roy and Jessy. We’ve known them for 11 years, since Tim worked with Miguel at the VW plant in Puebla (Tim was actually responsible for hiring Miguel to manage the IT office for our company at the plant, one of the best decisions he’s ever been party to!).

It’s been great to see our kids grow up. Roy and Jessy are a bit ahead of our kids (15 and 13) and just had a great year of school in Ohio. We got to go to a train museum, the boys and men all slept over at Dad K’s hunting cabin, played games, and just talked and talked and talked.

We’re so thankful to the Lord for their friendship over the years.

OurFamHello!  Welcome to Tim’s & Barbara-Lee’s website!

We’re currently in Moscow, PA with Barbara-Lee’s parents.  We’re working on this new website, presentations for churches and just relaxing with family.

Check back on this site as we pull over old content from our old design and play around with this new one.

Thanks,

Tim & Barbara-Lee Glessner
