In the last<br \/>\nyear we&#8217;ve prayed for three very sick babies and<br \/>\nhave been blessed to see God graciously work to<br \/>\nsave them.\u00a0 Last Thursday a small group<br \/>\nmember came to the last day of his job at the VW<br \/>\nplant and providentially, incredibly, found a<br \/>\njob in another department&#8211;after months of<br \/>\npraying and looking. We have several Bible<br \/>\nstudies because God has answered prayers.<br \/>\nLast Thursday, Tim got into a car accident, and<br \/>\nwe again experienced God&#8217;s gracious answers to<br \/>\nprayers, not just ours, but many others&#8217;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText3\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0pt;\"><span lang=\"en-US\" style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; language: en-US;\"><br \/>\nHave you heard the expression,<br \/>\n&#8220;Prayer works?&#8221; We&#8217;re not particularly big fans<br \/>\nof that one, because the implication is that<br \/>\nprayer is some sort of a magic formula to get<br \/>\nwhat we want out of God. To the contrary, prayer<br \/>\nreminds us how desperately we need our heavenly<br \/>\nFather, and how we base our relationship with<br \/>\nhim on his gracious provision for all our needs,<br \/>\nincluding, most importantly, a Savior.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText3\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0pt;\"><span lang=\"en-US\" style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; language: en-US;\"><br \/>\nOf course the inevitable caveat is that &#8220;we don&#8217;t pray enough.&#8221; Too true, sadly, stupidly. Yet we learn<br \/>\nand we grow, and we thank you for your prayers. How we need them!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText3\"><b>Sports<\/b><br \/>\n<span lang=\"en-US\" style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; language: en-US;\">Last month we mentioned that we were looking for<br \/>\nmore players on Drew&#8217;s baseball team.\u00a0 Well,<br \/>\nnow we have 6 other boys from the neighborhood<br \/>\ngoing.\u00a0 Tim drives 5 of them, and in the car<br \/>\nhe shares Bible stories, based on Hebrews<br \/>\n11.\u00a0 It&#8217;s been great to plant some seeds in<br \/>\nthese boys, who often beg for a story. We hope to<br \/>\nsee them grow into boys and teens who love the<br \/>\nLord, not just baseball.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText3\"><b>Contacts<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText3\"><span lang=\"en-US\" style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; language: en-US;\">We continue to work with English on<br \/>\nThursdays.\u00a0 We&#8217;ve had some new people<br \/>\ncoming, but usually only 1-2 men.\u00a0 We&#8217;re<br \/>\nhoping to get off the ground studying the Bible<br \/>\nwith G (who&#8217;s back) and Diego, our landlord&#8217;s<br \/>\nson, who has begun going to church with<br \/>\nus.\u00a0 He made a profession of faith some<br \/>\ntime ago, and God just hasn&#8217;t let go of him,<br \/>\nwith various people making an impact in his<br \/>\nlife.\u00a0 We would love to see him truly<br \/>\ncommit to knowing God and living for him.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText3\"><span lang=\"en-US\" style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; language: en-US;\"><br \/>\n<b> Church Plant Update<\/b><br \/>\nWe&#8217;re now starting meetings with the church<br \/>\nplant team, reading relevant Bible passages<br \/>\ntogether, going through a training course<br \/>\ntogether, and trying to form an identity and<br \/>\nvision.\u00a0 Our first training meeting went<br \/>\nreally well and we&#8217;re excited about the weeks<br \/>\nand months to come.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText3\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0pt;\"><b>Help Wanted<\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed; font-size: 12.0pt; language: en-US; color: black;\">Regular readers know that we rarely touch on<br \/>\nfinances, but we really need to mention some<br \/>\nfinancial needs.\u00a0 When EBM went bankrupt we<br \/>\nlost a sizable amount of funds in our account with<br \/>\nthem which really smoothed over ups and downs in<br \/>\nmonthly support.\u00a0 That cushion is now<br \/>\ngone.*\u00a0 Though some one-time gifts in 2012<br \/>\nallowed us to finish the year balanced, the<br \/>\ntypical monthly giving to our account is about<br \/>\n$600 short of our needs.\u00a0 In other words, we<br \/>\nare at about 90% of our monthly needs.\u00a0 We<br \/>\nare so thankful for God&#8217;s provision and the many<br \/>\nindividuals and churches who give to our<br \/>\nwork.\u00a0 But if God lays it on your heart to<br \/>\njoin our financial support team, we would be<br \/>\ngrateful.\u00a0 You can follow this <a href=\"http:\/\/fim.org\/support-missionary\/giving\" target=\"_blank\">link<\/a> to FIM&#8217;s<br \/>\ngiving page to look at options.\u00a0 Thank you!<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText3\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0pt;\"><span style=\"direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed; font-size: 12.0pt; language: en-US; color: black;\"><br \/>\n<b>2.<\/b><br \/>\nNo one was hurt in Tim&#8217;s accident and insurance will cover the repairs.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"direction: ltr; &#8220;G&#8221;, that we would be able to set up some 1-1 discipleship time with them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed; font-size: 12.0pt; language: en-US; color: black;\"><br \/>\n<b>2.<\/b><br \/>\nPray for the church plant team as we work together and grow in unity, purpose and love for the Lord.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"direction: ltr;
