February is a short month, and it's probably a cliché to say it's amazing how much has happened in such a short time. But this month we've seen a couple people pray to accept Christ, seen significant growth in some lives, and enjoyed warmer weather (it stays in the 50's at night as opposed to the 40's!). One of the salvations was the husband of the couple with domestic problems. The other was a young man who has a drug addiction. Those were encouraging, but we hope to see truly changed lives. Our pre-marital counseling is going well. It is encouraging to be able to discuss many issues with a young couple and to see their desire to build a healthy God-centered home--in contrast to their own backgrounds. Isabeli is a young lady who accepted Christ last spring. This year she has really started growing in her faith, studying the Bible, maturing in her way of life, and bringing her parents to church regularly. We thank God for these positive developments (and trust Him regarding some negatives).

We are looking forward to a couple of visits in March. Rick and Carol Hudson, our co-workers here in Puebla, are coming down from the 4th to the 14th with a team from Cedarville College. We look forward to seeing them, teaching them how to get around Puebla (it's changed THAT much just since last July!), and being able to get input and advice. The day after they leave, Tim's sister comes for a visit. So we'll take the opportunity for a wee bit of vacation and try to both show her around and see some of the things we're studying in our history of Mexico studies. Drew is already excited to see his Aunt Jana!Pink sunrise over Puebla

We need an editor's mentality to keep our praise list down. There are salvations to thank the Lord for, as well as growth, new opportunities, health, safe travel, a mostly completed visa, and anticipation of visitors in March. Here are some of the main things we'd like you to pray for:
PRAISE
1. We've mentioned a couple with marital problems. The husband accepted the Lord three weeks ago and seems to be serious about his decision. He's been regularly meeting with Tim for discipleship and counseling.
2. We traveled to Mexico City last week to take care of the last paperwork for our visas. We should get them this week or next.
3. We've had real encouraging teaching and counseling times, as mentioned above.
4. Starbucks is opening three stores in Puebla. OK, this is tongue-in-cheek, but should be of great interest to many of you coffee addicts!

PRAYER
1. Please continue to pray for the couple with domestic problems. Despite the husband's salvation things are not going well with their relationship. They have laid a foundation of 25 years of sin that will take time to recover from. Please pray for obedience to the Lord and patience for them as well as the ability to speak the truth in love on our part.
2. There is an opportunity to begin a Bible study with two ladies (and their families) at Madero University. One just lost her father and the other's husband is recovering from a serious illness and has a renewed interest in God. Please pray that the Lord would open their hearts to His Word and the comfort and life it offers.
3.We will be having a Fellowship Sunday at a camp on March 13th and a sunrise service in the countryside on Easter, March 27th. We are hoping to bring out many acquaintances who usually wouldn't go to a 'Christian' church.
4.Please pray for the young man who accepted Christ and is a drug addict. Pray that God would deliver him from his addictions and/or we would find a solid Christian treatment for him. Drug addiction is out of our realm of expertise, and we need wisdom in working with him.

Thank you for your prayers for us!

PS: The answers to Drew's vocabulary quiz last month: cabeza=head, cacahuete=peanut, zapato=shoe, and comer=eat.
Drew's newest vocabulary quiz: Buenos Días, sucio, por fa, and pantuflas.

PPS: When we were visiting churches one of the things we always mentioned was a desire to have a group of 70 people praying for us, 10 people for each day of the week. We'd like to try to organize that now into a group of people we could send off quick items for prayer or praise. Would you consider being part of such a group? Please let us know if you'd like to pray for us in that way. Thank you!
