February is one of the months when we are most thankful for where God has put us! The weather is turning a bit warmer (how 'bout up north?), but things are still a bit green, our work is in full swing but things are still fresh. We look forward to the blooming of the jacarandas in March (a tree with beautiful purple flowers).

Some of our adventures in the last month or so have been:
...a youth camping trip that got rained on (at 12:30 AM) when of course we had no tents (it hadn't rained for over a month, and January is usually dry).
...a Friendship Banquet with 60 people in attendence, many visitors, a clear presentation of the gospel, oh, and a good time had by all.
...several new Bible study groups.
...a children's ministry at church. We all-of-a-sudden have 7-9 kids at church, so Barbara-Lee is overseeing the formation of a teachers' team.
...a trip to the Sierra Norte (northern hill country) of Puebla to see a mission work our church may help support.
...our Tuesday night Bible study. We did a follow-up to the evangelistic outreach from the November TV operation, to great effect. One lady accepted Christ, and others rededicated their lives.

We are excited about what God will do in the next few months. In addition to studying the Bible chronologically with three groups, we will be starting an Alpha course (a series of videos designed to introduce people to the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly environment) with the idea that church members will then be able to reproduce this in their own homes. It has been really encouraging to see God working in people's lives and to see them responding. In the leadership transition from the Hudsons to Chris and us, we are seeing that the work is God's--He gives fruit and changes lives. And that takes off a lot of pressure from us!

On the home front, our kids are growing and healthy. The twins have not even had so much as a sniffle--wow, we're so thankful for them and for Drew, who is growing in body, mind, and spirit (see below).

PRAISE
1. The lady who accepted Christ at the Tuesday night Bible study.
2. The Friendship Banquet went well.
3. Continued increases in attendence on Sundays.
4. Safety in a minor accident last month (we sent out a report, but had e-mail problems and it may not have reached you. Let us know if you'd like it).
5. Tim travelled to the north of the state of Puebla last week to see a mission in a small village. It was great to see God's hand at work and our Mexican brothers and sisters in charge and serving.

PRAYER
1. It's been a real long time since we've mentioned Vicente--because it's been a long time since we've seen him or any of his family except for one brother. Please pray for them. Especially pray for Ana, his sister, who seems to be avoiding us...
2. Please pray for Rick & Carol Hudson. They are in their last weeks here. Pray for a "satisfying" (for lack of a better word) conclusion to 22+ years of ministry in Mexico, and a safe journey toward ministry in Indianapolis.
3. For church members to step up and take leadership in several activities and in the Alpha study.
4. For a Dia de Campo (Picnic Day) on Sunday, March 11. This is always a great time to introduce our church to many visitors.
5. A special request from Drew: he would like you to pray for Laura Morris, our former pastor's wife in Tacoma. After moving to another church in Eastern Washington, tests show a recurrence of cancer. Please join with Drew (and us!) in praying for God's grace to abound to her and her husband, Wayne, and for her healing.
Tim, Drew (with basketball), Fiona, Barbara-Lee, Gavin

Grace be with you.
Tim, Barbara-Lee, Drew, Gavin, Fiona
